> Submit a Latebreaking Abstract Now!
Only abstracts that contain new data that could not have been available at the time of the original abstract deadline amy be submitted for consideration as late breaker abstracts. Late breaker abstracts are highly competitive; only abstracts containing new, novel, cutting-edge information will be considered. Retrospective studies will not be considered. Because of the nature of late breakers, IDSA will accept very few submissions for presentation, less than 10 percent. Authors of late breaker abstracts are not eligible to apply for IDSA travel grants or awards.
Late Breaker Abstract Submission Opened:Friday, May 27
Late Breaker Abstract Submission Deadline:Friday, August 12 (5 p.m EST)
Abstract disposition notices will be sent Friday, July 15 via e-mail to presenting authors only. Abstract dispositions will not be provided over the telephone before this date. It is the responsibility of the presenting author to notify and ensure that all co-authors are informed that the abstract has either been accepted or rejected, and to disseminate the presentation scheduling information. If your abstract is accepted, you will receive guidelines for preparing poster or oral presentations. Please note that due to the large number of abstracts, IDSA will not consider special scheduling requests for poster or oral presentations. If you do not receive your notification by 5 p.m. on July 15, 2011, please contact Nathalie Gabriel.
If you wish to withdraw an accepted abstract for any reason, you must send your request in writing by the withdrawal deadline of August 13, 2011. Withdrawal of an accepted abstract after August 13 or failure to present an accepted abstract could result in disqualification from presenting an abstract at IDSA Annual Meeting for the subsequent year.
Send your withdrawl letter by e-mail to:Nathalie Gabriel, Senior Manager, Meetings and LogisticsInfectious Diseases Society of AmericaE-mail: email@example.com
