    Why Submit

IDSA's Annual Meeting provides numerous opportunities to have your research reviewed by colleagues and leaders in the field. It also provides an excellent opportunity for fellows in training who are particularly urged to submit their best research. Selected poster presentations will be featured in the popular Poster Discussion Round sessions, and selected abstracts will be awarded Society commendations. Highly rated abstracts may also be slated for oral presentations.

    Types of Abstract Presentations

    Poster Presentation

Poster sessions are abstracts that have been selected and grouped together by category/topics and displayed on poster boards during the Annual Meeting. Poster presentations give authors an opportunity to acquaint attendees and experts in the field with the fundamentals of their abstracts and research. Presenting authors are required to be present at their poster boards for one and a half hours on assigned dates.

    Oral Presentation

The presenting author is expected to discuss his or her scientific research and summarize the data into a comprehensive 10-minute presentation, with five minutes for questions and answers. Presenting authors are required to use PowerPoint slides to accompany their oral presentations.
